Medium: Mobile AR Software: Lens Studio Role: Teacher
Meredith Binnette, a fellow creative technologist, and I lead a cohort of students in Red Hook - introducing them to augmented reality and teaching them the basics of Lens Studio, Snapchat’s AR platform. Over the course of three months the students designed and painted a mural in Coffey Park, and we guided them in creating an experience to bring the mural to life in AR!
Although this isn’t a typical portfolio project, and I myself didn’t actually create the mural or the final augment (well, we did pull the augment together but the students lead the charge!), this is a very important piece to me, and education and knowledge sharing will always be at the forefront of what I do.
